Advocated successfully with Council Members to restore the Department of Sanitation’s budget cuts that had been in place during the peak of the pandemic
Built better relationships between the Department of Sanitation and small business owners so immigrant-run businesses are more aware of regulations and how to do their part
Purchased new trashbins that will reduce overfill, spillage, and rats on street corners
Brought the Department of Health and Sanitation on multiple site visits to help residents and agencies identify rat mitigation techniques, and hosted Rat Academy classes to educate the public about how to stop rats

Worked with the NYC Parks Department to secure 5 million dollars to upgrade PS 20 Anna Silver’s playground, which doubles as a public park outside of school hours.

Signed onto a joint letter to the School Construction Authority supporting the New York Harbor School’s request for a fully-sized aquatic training facility and gymnasium.
